Board Meeting: Members Present: Lea Jacobs, Mike Oehlhof, Robin Stewart. No quorum present.

General Meeting: Members Present: Lea Jacobs, Mike Oehlhof, Nancy Oehlhof, Connie Rinehart, Robin Stewart, Judy Nolan, Beth Berman, John Thigpen, Marilyn Roth Bassinger, Emma Weyrick, Pat Miller, Bob Saffell, Adrienne Saffell, Sue Klar.

Report of the President: Mike Oehlhof

Report of the Secretary: Lea Jacobs: Received Trophy catalog. Invite to Pat Hastings Puppy Puzzle Seminar 6/20/08. AKC approval of 2009 Sweeps event and nonapproval of 2009 Specialty. AKC approval of 2009 Specialty event.

Report of the Treasurer: Sally Wynn: Treasurers report accepted as submitted.

Report of Committees:

1. Activities- Conformation: Carra Cole no report

2. Activities- Performance: Sue Klar: Discussion of Agility site at the 2009 PWCCA Specialty

3. Awards- Cheryl Heath: please submit paperwork for awards.

4. Breeder Refferal: Judy Nolan We have had a few interested in puppies and they were referred to those of you who have indicated puppies are available or to rescue.

5. Education: Carra Cole: no report

6. Judges Selection: Gerald Kyle: no report

7. Legislative: Neena Van Camp candidates are worried about the election and are not doing much in the Oh, In and Ky areas

8. Librarian/Historian: Robin Stewart no report.

9. Membership: Kathy Garcia Vote Sue and Diane Wallace. Voted into membership. Congratulations Sue and Dianne. Discussion followed about the appropriateness of our current application. Sue Klar and Nancy Oehlhof to work with Kathy Garcia and membership committee in reviewing our applcation and updating.

10. OVation: Nancy Oehlhof/Lana Law ad deadline 11/15/08. Please fill out the 'Getting to Know You' form and submit with photo.

11. PWCCA rep: Lana Law no report until after the Nationals.

12. Rescue: Neena Van Camp/Kathy Shannon we have 8 dogs in care at this moment and many more needing foster homes. Perhaps OV members might consider taking in one that is an "owner surrender"
rather the dealing with one from the pound. At this instant there are 5 more Pems within the area where our members live that should be in foster care. Is anybody available to Foster. The rescue committee is working to define how the committee is being run and I am trying to find the info from before - so that we do not have to reinvent the wheel.

14. Ways and Means: Judy Nolan nothing to report. Waiting for Specialty logo.

15. Web Page: Nancy Oehlhof

16. Specialty: Marilyn Midkiff Premium List has been submitted to Onofrio.
Nancy has the logo finished and it is in the hands of Ways and Means. The theme will be My Ol' Kentucky Home.
Adrienne has agreed to do the Catalog advertising. AKC has approved the specialty.

1. AKC Club Requirements: Discussion about meeting the AKC requirements and documenting activities. Adhoc committee formed. Chair: Adrienne Saffell, Members: Lea Jacobs, Beth Berman, Marilyn Roth Bassinger, Puppy match chair Lana Law.

2. Nominations: Slate sent to members. Nominations accepted in writing- must be post marked by 11/1/08.

New Business:

1. Jan meeting dates: Neena is looking into both the Loving Touch and the Bank. Pot Luck is preferable. Education: Reading DNA samples when determining parentage. Lea Jacobs RN
