Board Meeting

November 17, 2007

11:40am called to order

In attendance:

It was recommended by the board that the job descriptions be approved and put on the website.

Awards would be given out today for 2006.

AKC Constitution and By-laws

Adrienne talked to the AKC on Friday, Nov. 16, 2007 and was told that the constitution and by-laws as voted on and approved by the club are legal and binding and is the one we should be following.

There are some minor wording changes that will be made.

The other two items that the AKC wants us to change are:

There will be no voting by mail for officers and the AKC states that we are a local club and they want us to have six meetings a year.

The board set the meetings for 2008 as follows:

March in Louisville, Kentucky in conjunction with our specialty. The meeting will be held on Friday, March 14 one hour after completion of judging. The secretary is to secure the meeting room at the show site., l

July, location to be determined

September in Lexington in conjunction with our supported entry

November in conjunction with the Columbus shows

There will be two additional board meetings, which will make six meetings a year.

The secretary of the Ohio Valley Pembroke Welsh Corgi Club is to write on letterhead to the PWCCA letting them know that our club will abide by the new Code of Ethics.
